Weather conditions force organisers to halt festival plans

Newquay Pride has been cancelled due to safety concerns linked to forecasted winds gusting at 40mph.

The decision to cancel the event was made in light of the adverse weather, which surpasses the safety parameters set by insurance requirements.

This marks another instance where severe weather has led organisers to call off previous Newquay Pride celebrations.

Organisers expressed their disappointment but remain committed to hosting a future event, potentially around Christmas.

Acknowledging the need to submit road closures three months in advance, plans for the rearranged event are still in development.

The organisers are keen to reschedule their participation in a radio interview to provide updates once further details of the new event are finalised.

Participants and the community are urged to stay tuned for further announcements about the rescheduled celebration.
