New audio guide launched for the Tamar Crossing
You can now discover the Tamar Bridge and Royal Albert Bridge with the free digital guide
Tamar Crossings has teamed up with Bloomberg Connects to introduce a free digital and audio guide dedicated to the Tamar Bridge and Royal Albert Bridge.
Thanks to the collaboration, the guide is now available and offers visitors, both in person and virtually, exclusive access to the historic and architectural tales of the iconic crossings that connect Devon and Cornwall.
The guide, accessible through Bloomberg Connects, features behind-the-scenes content curated by Bridging the Tamar's heritage officers and volunteers. Designed for use during visits or remotely, users can immerse themselves in details about the engineering and history of the bridges.
The digital guide is part of Bloomberg Connects' grouping, which includes guides from respected institutions like the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Guggenheim Museum. Tamar Crossings joins a list of distinguished cultural organisations, enhancing the significance of its offerings.
Visitor Experience Manager, Jane Cooper, expressed enthusiasm about the potential for the guide to increase public engagement with Tamar Crossings' archive.
“We are really excited about how our digital guide allows us to share more of our archive with the public. We hope that the new features made possible through the guide, such as the bridges audio tour, will help to engage more people with learning about the important heritage of these iconic structures,” Cooper said.
