Some of Cornish comedian Jethro's former machinery is set to go under the hammer for thousands of pounds later today (Thursday, May 22nd).

A number of the performer's cars, farm equipment and other machinery is set to be sold as part of a major auction at Jethro's former home near Lewdown in Okehampton in Devon.

Among the lots is some of the star's licence plates, using the J35 TER numbers - spelling out the word "Jester".

The licence plate was used on all of the star's personal cars, including his series of Toyota Land Cruisers.

Prospective buyers were able to get a glimpse of some of the lots available in the auction during an open viewing on Wednesday (May 21st).

Bids have been allowed for the past two weeks, with the final deadline for bids taking place on Thursday.

In total, the licence plate is expected to fetch over £15,000 as bids continue to pour in for the memorabilia.

Among the other lots available are a number of Land Cruisers, as well as a number of tractors, trailers and diggers.

Jethro, whose real name was Geoffrey McIntyre Rowe, passed away in 2021 following a lengthy battle with lymphoma - though he also caught coronavirus in the days leading up to his death.
