Helston murder charges following elderly woman's death
36-year-old Edward Holden faces rape and murder allegations
Police have charged a 36-year-old man in connection with the death of an elderly woman in her 80s after an incident in Ashton, near Helston.
Edward Holden, from Alexandra Place, Penzance, faces charges of rape and murder. The incident was reported to authorities on Friday, 29th May.
Holden is scheduled to appear before Truro Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 1st June.
Authorities have requested restraint from the public in commenting about the case on social media to aid the ongoing investigations.
