Ex-Cornish Pirates skipper Stevens gets golden line-up for testimonial

International and Prem stars will appear in Penzance to honour John Stevens

Cornish Pirates will roll out the red carpet for former captain John Stevens at his testimonial match a the Mennaye Field.

The side - that'll feature Premiership and International players - face Pirates Exiles at the in Penzance this afternoon (Saturday 13 June).

Stevens has made 152 appearances for the Pirates, and it has recently been confirmed he will act as Player-Coach for Penzance and Newlyn RFC from next season.

He is the son of the late Brian ‘Stack’ Stevens, former England international and British & Irish Lion who also represented Penzance & Newlyn RFC.
