Cornwall's Winter Wonderland reopens after damage caused by Storm Bram
Organisers say "thousands of pounds" of damage was caused by Storm Bram
Winter Wonderland in Redruth has reopened today (December 10) after Storm Bram caused "significant damage" to the attraction.
Organisers said yesterday that bad weather overnight (December 9) had caused "thousands of pounds" worth of damage, forcing them to remain closed on Tuesday (December 9).
They added the situation was "incredibly heartbreaking" for the team who had "invested so much love, effort, and resources into creating a magical experience" for visitors.
Guests were also told any tickets purchased for yesterday could be swapped for any other day the attraction would be open.
In a statement on Cornwall's Winter Wonderland Facebook page last night organisers said they would reopen today, calling the team "absolute legends" who had worked "so hard" to get "everything back on track"
The post said:
"Santa’s just dropped in with an updated weather forecast (thanks Google Weather) and it’s looking like the perfect setup for some proper magical festive moments this week
"A huge thank you to our brilliant team who worked so hard today to get everything back on track after the storm - absolute legends who keep the magic alive every single time.
"We can’t wait to see you tomorrow… wrap up warm, bring the family, and come soak up the lights, the laughter and the festive spirit with us.
"Join us from 3pm - the magic is waiting."
