Cornwall’s blind gamer raises hundreds for iSightCornwall with viral livestream
Cornwall’s very own blind gamer, Dominic Hall, has once again shown how video games can be inclusive - and fundraising for a good cause.
Dom, who went viral on TikTok for playing Mortal Kombat using only audio cues, hosted a special Gaming for Good livestream last Friday in support of iSightCornwall, the county’s oldest sight loss charity.
The two-hour stream attracted a huge online audience, with 1,387 viewers on TikTok and 120 viewers on Twitch.
Fans from the UK, USA, Canada, and the Netherlands tuned in, with the TikTok stream alone racking up 27.5 thousand likes.
Speaking after the stream, Dom said:
"I want to show that video games can be accessible for everyone, and inspire both gamers and developers to make accessibility a priority."
The livestream raised over £300 for iSightCornwall, helping the charity continue its vital work supporting people with sight loss across Cornwall - from providing assistive technology to offering social opportunities and emotional support.
The fundraising page is still open, and anyone wanting to support the cause can donate here
Dom’s livestream not only raised funds but highlighted how video games can be made more inclusive for visually impaired players - showing that passion, creativity, and accessibility can go hand in hand.
