Inquests have been opened and adjourned into the deaths of a man and a woman in Cornwall.
Maleta Rosevear, 60, known as Milly, was found dead at a property in Churchtown Road in Illogan.
A short time later, officers attended an area of the A30 near Redruth following concerns for the welfare of a man.
The man subsequently fell from a bridge and was declared dead at the scene.
He was later identified as Adrian Lawrence, 59.
Cornwall Coroner's Court heard Mr Lawrence was formally identified by his wife.
Home Office pathologist Dr Deborah Cook gave the provisional cause of death as multiple injuries.
Her report added: "There are devastating, inevitably fatal injuries, consistent with a fall from 25 metres to 30 metres onto a hard surface."
Ms Rosevear's provisional cause of death was given as "blunt force head injury", and the court heard she was identified from dental records.
Andrew Cox, senior coroner for Cornwall, adjourned both inquests to allow for further police inquiries.
Police had earlier confirmed that Ms Rosevear and Mr Lawrence were known to each other.
Detective Inspector Rob Smith, from Devon and Cornwall Police, said: "We continue to carry out inquiries on behalf of the coroner regarding the events which led to Milly Rosevear's death, which is being treated as suspicious.
"We are not looking at anyone else in connection with the death. Our thoughts remain with the family and friends."
