Citizens Advice in Cornwall reports a growing number of families, usually considered financially stable, are now seeking help due to escalating energy bills.

According to recent statistics, almost half of adults in the UK express concern over their ability to afford energy expenses in the coming months.

Wailim Wong from the local branch of Citizens Advice highlights that the issue extends beyond energy bills alone, noting greater worries faced by families, particularly those residing in rural areas of Cornwall.

"People are struggling with energy prices, but they are also struggling with food prices, struggling with rent going up, so its never just one thing. Sometimes its the straw that breaks the camels back."

Citizens Advice continues to provide necessary support and guidance to help families navigate these difficulties, emphasizing the importance of community resources for those in urban and rural areas by making online resources accessible and providing support in foods banks.
