A Cornwall beach cafe has promised to "come back stronger" after a catastrophic fire ravaged the premises on Sunday evening.
Porthtowan Beach Cafe owners expressed their heartbreak over the incident but confirmed that no injuries occurred.
They shared their gratitude for the local community's overwhelming support, as well as the effective response from fire services and police.
The cafe team posted on Facebook: "As many of you have heard, we’ve had a devastating fire at the cafe this evening.
"I can’t begin to tell you how heartbroken we are but thankfully and most importantly everyone is fine and safe.
"The support shown to us this evening has been more than touching and we really couldn’t be more thankful to the amazing community that is Porthtowan.
"This has affected not just us but our amazing neighbours also, thankfully the fire was contained to the cafe but it still has an impact on them.
"We would like to say a massive thank you to all involved tonight, some amazing members of the public for their fast actions.
"To all the responding fire services and police we thank you so much for everything and for being so supportive of us, you’re all amazing for what you do.
"We will rebuild and come back stronger, just please bare with us at this time ❤️
"Again thank you Porthtowan for being such an amazing community of beautiful humans."
In an update, fire crews were confirmed to have left the scene at around 1.20am this morning.
A fire investigation is due to take place today.
