Cornish Pasty Week 2026 is set to delight food enthusiasts as it kicks off today, 23rd February, celebrating the renowned baked delight.

During this week, pasty lovers in what for many is 'our favourite week of the year' will see the return of the Global Pasty Championships, hosted at The Lost Gardens of Heligan on 28th February.

This event will gather bakers, families, and food aficionados from Cornwall and beyond, making it a true celebration of pasty-making traditions, music, and Cornish culture.

The Championships

The Global Pasty Championships on Saturday offer open and junior categories for participants to showcase their baking skills.

Supported by the Cornish Pasty Association, the day will also feature the World’s Fastest Crimper competition, kids pasty-making, and appearances by beloved mascots, Mr and Mrs Pasty.

Attendees can expect live Cornish and pasty-themed entertainment throughout the day.

Supporting the Community

During Cornish Pasty Week, bakers will contribute to the Cornish Pasty Community Fund.

These contributions help schools teach cooking skills, and businesses can pledge a fixed sum or a small contribution per pasty sold during the week.

A Celebrated Tradition

CPA Chairman Jason Jobling has shared his enthusiasm for the event: "Hats off to The Lost Gardens of Heligan for creating this exciting new event celebrating Cornwall’s favourite food, the not-so-humble pasty, and its many global variations."

"Cornish Pasty Week is now embedded in the calendar and the new Global Pasty Championships promises to be a fitting finale."

"Inviting juniors to join in with the help of an adult is a great way to keep up Cornwall’s fine baking traditions and encourage the next generation of pasty makers."
