A Cornish pasty company has triumphed at this year's British Pie Awards.

Phat Pasty Co took home the prize for the best Vegan Pie for their Wildfarmed Keralan Cauliflower and Onion Bhaji Pasty.

The company is known for its handmade pies and pasties, offering an array of traditional and adventurous flavors with a focus on sustainability and local produce.

For 18 years, the British Pie Awards have celebrated the best in pie-making across the UK, with 26 categories.

Matthew O’Callaghan, Chairman of the Mowbray Pork Pie Association and host of the British Pie Awards, said:

“We had a wonderful day on Wednesday as were given the important job of sampling some truly outstanding pies.

"Phat Pasty Co was victorious amongst some stiff competition in the Vegan Pie category with their iconic Wildfarmed Keralan Cauliflower & Onion Bhaji Pasty.

"These awards highlight the true skill and imagination of pie makers across the UK, which is why this win is so well-deserved.”
