Two people have been rescued from rocks at Perranporth by a Coastguard helicopter.

It happened on Tuesday evening and saw the St Agnes Coastguard team deployed.

They were unable to get to the stranded pair using ropes and the high spring tide meant a sea approach was also not possible, so air support was called-in.

Both casualties were taken to a place of safety.
