A30 closed after serious crash near Connor Downs

Part of the A30 is closed after a serious crash involving a police vehicle and two cars.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Connor Downs just before 8pm yesterday evening (7/12).

A number of people are believed to be injured.

The road is shut in both directions between St Erth roundabout and the Hayle bypass.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious collision involving three vehicles on the A30 near Connor Downs, West Cornwall.

"We were notified just before 8pm this evening, Sunday 7 December, to reports of a collision involving a police vehicle and two cars on the A30 between Roseworthy and Marsh Lane.

"A number of people are believed to be injured and are being treated by ambulance services.

"A full road closure has been put in place at St Erth roundabout and at the Hayle bypass while emergency services work at the scene.

"We expect this incident to cause disruption to the surrounding road network.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the website or by calling 101 quoting log 701 07/12/25."
