(TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “HITS RADIO – TWO COMPETITIONS FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN A TRIP TO UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT (Competition 1 of 3) and (Competition 2 of 3)”
These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.
- COMPETITION DEFINITIONS These Specific Terms are applicable the following competitions (the “Competitions”), which each share the same prize (see 6. The Prize).
The Competitions relating to these Specific Terms are defined as follows:
• Competition One (1), the competition on Hits Radio Drive (the “Drive Competition”)
• Competition Two (2), the competition in Sam Thompson’s Saturday morning show (the “Sam Thompson’s Competition”)
Each competition will have their own Entry Routes and Costs, Competition Mechanic, Entry Period but will share the same Entry Restrictions, and each one (1) Prize to be won. Details of all are listed in their respective sections in these Specific Terms.
2.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS Entries are restricted to one (1) per person (“Entrant”) per Competition (equalling a total of two (2) entries across both Competitions).
Drive Competition

Entry into the On-Air Drive Competitions is available via the following Hits Radio Network route(s):
- During the On-Air Competition Entry Period, as described in section ‘3. ENTRY PERIOD’ the on-air presenter(s) will announce the opening (“Start Time”) and closing time (“Closing Time”) of their respective Competitions.
- During this time, the Entrant must do the following to be eligible for entry:
a. Call the Hits Radio phone number: 0333 20 20 800 when prompted to do so by the presenter(s).
b. Then follow the game mechanic as described in section ‘02. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN’.
Calls are charged at a local rate, but some providers may charge more.

Entry into the On-Air Sam Thompson Competitions is available via the following Hits Radio Network route(s):
- During the On-Air Competition Entry Period, as described in section ‘4. ENTRY PERIOD’ the on-air presenter(s) will announce the opening (“Start Time”) and closing time (“Closing Time”) of their respective Competitions.
- During this time, the Entrant must do the following to be eligible for entry:
a. Call the Hits Radio phone number: 0333 20 20 800 when prompted to do so by the presenter(s).
b. Then follow the game mechanic as described in section ‘02. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN’.
Calls are charged at a local rate, but some providers may charge more.
3.COMPETITION MECHANIC On-Air Competition: Drive Competition
This Competition will take place on Hits Radio between 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM between Monday 08th June – Friday 12nd June 2026. (See ‘2. ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS’ and ‘4. ENTRY PERIOD’).
- How to Enter
• When the on-air presenter(s) announce the competition is open (Start Time), the Entrant must call the phone number (see ‘1. ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS’).
• The producers will choose a caller (“Entrant”) at random from the phone lines to play an on-air game to win, making them the (“Contestant”).
- How to Play
• Upon being successfully chosen to play, the on-air presenter(s) will bring the caller to play one Competition Round each day between Monday – Friday.
• The on-air presenter(s) will ask the Contestant one question representing each of the four theme parks at Universal Orlando Resort (4 questions in total).
• The Contestant must answer as many questions correctly as possible.
- How to Win
• By the end of Friday’s Competition Round, whichever Contestant answers the most questions correctly will be deemed the Winner.
• If there are 2, or more, Contestants who have equally answers the most questions correctly, then they will answer a Tie Break question which will determine the Winner.
- What happens if there is a Tie-Break
• In the event of a Tie-Break, the Contestants will each be asked the same question off-air by the Hits Radio production team. They will then be asked the same question on-air and must give the same answer. The Contestant who answers the question closest to the correct answer will be deemed the Winner.
- What happens if the Producers suspect cheating?
• The Producers have the right to end a Contestant’s chance of winning should their suspect foul play. This could be due to use of artificial intelligence helping with the answers, friend’s website browsing the answers or for any reason other than the Contestant giving a genuine answer to test their own skill and knowledge. If a Producer suspects foul play, they have the right to choose another Contestant to participate from Entrants.
The decision of the gameplay and result as decided by Hits Radio production team is final.
On-Air Competition: Sam Thompson’s Competition
This Competition will take place on Hits Radio between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Saturday 13th June 2026. (See ‘2. ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS’ and ‘4. ENTRY PERIOD’).
- How to Enter
• When the on-air presenter(s) announce the competition is open (Start Time), the Entrant must call the phone number (see ‘1. ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS’).
• The producers will choose two callers (“Entrant”) at random from the phone lines to play an on-air game to win, making them the (“Contestants”).
- How to Play
• Upon being successfully chosen to play, the on-air presenter will bring the callers on-air to play one Competition Round.
• The on-air presenter will ask each Contestant one question representing each of the four theme parks at Universal Orlando Resort (4 questions in total) er Contestant.
• The Contestant must answer as many questions correctly as possible.
- How to Win
• By the end of the Competition Round, whichever Contestant answers the most questions correctly will be deemed the Winner.
• If the Contestants answer an equal number of answers correctly, then they will answer a Tie Break question which will determine the Winner.
- What happens if there is a Tie-Break
• In the event of a Tie-Break, the Contestants will each be asked the same question off-air by the Hits Radio production team. They will then be asked the same question on-air and must give the same answer. The Contestant who answers the question closest to the correct answer will be deemed the Winner.

- ENTRY PERIOD Entries are open for each Competitions during the following Entry Periods:
Drive Competition:
• The Drive Competition will be open for entries daily between 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM between the following dates:
• 08/06/2026 – 12/06/2026
o The exact Start Time and Closing Time will be announced by the on-air presenter, where Entrants will need to follow the steps as guided by the presenter and details in 3 COMPETITION MECHANIC.
Sam Thompson’s Competition:
• Sam Thompson’s Competition will be open for entries between 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM on 13/06/2026 only.
o The exact Start Time and Closing Time will be announced by the on-air presenter, where Entrants will need to follow the steps as guided by the presenter and details in 3 COMPETITION MECHANIC.
Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.
- ENTRY RESTRICTIONS • Entrants may enter up to two (2) of the Competitions, one entry per Competition. However, they may only win one (1) of the two (2) Competitions. Entry will be invalid from winning a second Competition after winning the first.
• In addition, any further Competitions (the Online Competition) running in the same month on the Hits Radio Network for Universal Orlando Resort may not be won, if an Entrant is deemed a winner of either On-Air Competitions.
• Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
• One entry per person.
• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider and Flight Partners, are not permitted to enter.
• If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. The full list of Bauer Media brands can be found here: https://www.bauermedia.co.uk/brands
• For the Online Competition, the Entrant will have 28 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them to respond for winner verification. If they do not respond within the timeframe, we will re-draw until we find a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

- THE PRIZE In total, two (2) people will be one (1) (“Winner”) of each of the two (2) Competitions, totalling two (2) Winners.
The Prize is provided by two (2) Prize Providers:
• Universal City Development Partners, Ltd. d/b/a Universal Orlando Resort (“Prize Provider A”); and
• Bauer Media Group (“Prize Provider B”).
Proof of identification and address will need to be provided to Bauer Media. The winner’s name, phone number, email and address will be cross checked against the Bauer Winner Database and only once they pass the criteria, they will be deemed the winner of the competition.
Each of the two (2) Winners of the Competitions will win the following:
• They will receive the following as provided by Prize Provider A:
o Seven (7) nights’ standard hotel accommodation (one room, quadruple occupancy, room and tax only) at Universal Aventura Hotel or at another Universal Orlando Resort hotel (as determined by Universal Orlando in its sole discretion);
o Non-exclusive ground transportation to and from airport and hotel in Orlando, Florida;
o and Universal Orlando All Parks Tickets for admission to Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal Epic Universe theme parks and Universal Volcano Bay water theme park for Winner and Guests.
o Round trip economy class air transportation from a major commercial airport near Winner’s home to Orlando, Florida.
• They will also receive the following as provided by Prize Provider B:
o £200.00 cash as transferred via BACS transfer, to contribute towards travel insurance and UK airport transfers for the winner and their party.
General Terms and Conditions applicable to the Prize:
All incidental expenses are the responsibility of the prize-winner. Once the holiday is booked, it is non-changeable, exchangeable or refundable. There is no cash alternative to the prize in whole or in part. If you miss your flight, or fail to take the outbound leg, your holiday will be void and cancelled. Winner and their guest(s) must travel on the same itinerary. All parts of the Prize must be used in conjunction with the same booking. The Prize does not include food and drink (outside what is previously declared in the board basis,) personal expenditure or incidental costs. Winner and their guest(s) are solely responsible for ensuring they have valid travel documentation (including passport/visa/visa waiver as may be required), obtaining adequate travel insurance and appropriate vaccinations / inoculations (including covid-19 tests) for foreign travel at their own expense.
Prize Provider A Terms & Conditions Relating to the Prize:
PRIZE: There will be two (2) Prizes (each a “Prize”) awarded. Prize winner (“Winner”) will receive an eight (8) day, seven (7) night trip for Winner and up to three (3) guests (“Guest(s)”) to Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida (“Trip”).
Trip will include: round trip economy class air transportation for each Winner and Guests from a major commercial airport near Winner’s home (provided by Universal Orlando Resort and as determined in its sole discretion) to Orlando, Florida; seven (7) nights’ standard hotel accommodation (one room, quadruple occupancy, room and tax only) at Universal Aventura Hotel or at another Universal Orlando Resort hotel (as determined by Universal Orlando in its sole discretion); non-exclusive ground transportation to and from airport and hotel in Orlando, Florida; and Universal Orlando All Parks Tickets for admission to Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal Epic Universe theme parks and Universal Volcano Bay water theme park for Winner and Guests.
The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Trip is Ten Thousand Sixty-Four and 03/100 U.S. Dollars (US$10,064.03).
Trips must be completed by June 1, 2027 or Prize will be forfeited without further or alternative compensation. Travel dates and arrangements are subject to air travel, holiday, blockout dates, and other prize and travel restrictions. Travel dates are subject to Universal Orlando and Sponsor approval. Reservations are subject to availability. Trip must be booked at least sixty (60) days prior to intended departure date. If Winner elects to partake in any or all portions of the Prize with fewer than the allotted number of Guests or no Guests, the Prize will be awarded to Winner and each participating Guest and any remainder of the Prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation. All elements of the Prize must be redeemed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption. If Winner is between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty-one (21), Winner must be accompanied by an adult of at least twenty-one (21) years of age in order to check into the hotel. Unless child or ward of Winner or one of the allotted Guests, each Guest must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on the same itinerary and at the same time as the Winner. ARV of Prize may vary depending upon the points of departure, ground transportation, and/or airline fare fluctuations; any difference between stated ARV and final ARV of Prize will not be awarded. Prize consists only of the elements expressly set forth above; no other elements or expenses (including, without limitation, insurance, meals, unspecified ground transportation, phone calls, baggage, gratuities, incidentals, souvenirs, gasoline, etc.) are included in the Prize and all such expenses are the sole responsibility of Winner. Winner is responsible for any air travel taxes and/or expenses, including applicable departure taxes or fees, inspection charges, baggage fees, and security charges. Winner and Guests are responsible for obtaining, at their own expense, any necessary travel documentation (i.e. valid photo identification, visas, passports, etc.) prior to travel. Once issued, tickets are nontransferable and may not be reissued once travel has commenced. Open tickets may not be issued and stopovers are not permitted. Travel arrangements must be made through Universal Orlando.
All parts of the prize are subject to availability and blockout dates, and subject to change without written notice or warning. Should any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of a party, whether or not existing, known, foreseen or foreseeable at the time this Promotion occurs, render the redemption or fulfilment of some or all of the prize delayed, hindered, adversely affected, impracticable, or impossible, Universal Orlando Resort in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to evaluate and make modifications to the redemption and fulfillment processes and timelines for the prize, which may include but is not limited to providing additional time for redemption and/ or fulfillment, or offering experiences and items of an equivalent or greater value. Universal Volcano Bay water theme park will be closed for maintenance from October 26, 2026, to on or before April 1, 2027. Dates are subject to change; winner should check https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/terms-of-service/park-hours for updates. If winner chooses to travel at a time that coincides with this extended closure, they will forfeit admission to Universal Volcano Bay water theme park without alternative or further compensation.
Universal City Development Partners, Ltd. d/b/a Universal Orlando Resort (“Universal Orlando”) is a prize provider only in this promotion, is not a sponsor of this promotion and is not responsible for the administration of the promotion, the collection of entries, or the selection of any winner. Any disputes, claims, and causes of action against Universal Orlando arising out of or relating to any person’s use of or participation in any prize provided by Universal Orlando shall be resolved by applying the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws provisions therein, and shall be solely and exclusively brought in state or federal courts within Orange County, Florida. Such claims shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and all such claims shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event to include attorneys’ fees.
Prize Provider B Terms & Conditions Relating to the Prize:
Bauer Media Group will aim to send the prizes to the winner within 28 working days from the date they pass winner checks as mentioned above. However, there may be a delay due to potential unforeseen circumstances or public holidays and staff absences and therefore deliveries may take longer. Bauer Media Group will make necessary attempts to keep the winner up to date with details of any delays and when the winner can expect the prize.
It is the Winner’s responsibility to ensure that you (and any of your guests) are fit, well and able to travel. The financial contribution as provided by Prize Provider B is to be used towards travel insurance expenses and UK transfers. This may or may not cover the full travel policy and/or transfers for the individual winner and/or their group due to their individual health status, or location. Any outstanding finances required to allow for travel insurance to be acquired or to facilitate transfer to/from the major commercial airports will need to be at the cost of the winner and/or their accompanying guests.
Bauer Media Group will ask for bank account details to allow them to make direct payment via BACS transfer. Therefore, they will request only the following details to enable this to happen: Name on Bank Account (this must match the name given during the winner verification stage), Sort Code and Bank Account Number. Do not provide any further details beyond this.
Winners and guest’s names, addresses, contact details and personal details, such as passport information will be passed to the Prive Providers, this is solely in order to organise the prize and will be done so in a password protected document.
OTHER CONDITIONS
- DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. For SMS entries you automatically consent to receive marketing. You may opt out at any time by texting the word STOP to the relevant text shortcode number. If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, then your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.
- MISCELLANEOUS.
• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.
We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
