TERMS AND CONDITIONS for Hunger Games Sunrise of the Reaping x Hits Radio BREAKFAST PROMOTION (the “Competition”).
These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. The General Terms and the Specifc Terms shall be referred to together as the “Terms”.
1.Entry ROUTES and Costs
Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:
Entries are restricted to one (1) entry per person (an “Entrant”).
Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:
Phone by calling The Hits Radio (“Studio Phone Number”) on 0333 20 20 800 - calls from landlines will be charged at national rate. Calls from mobiles may cost considerably more.
Lines will open during the Hits Radio Breakfast Show from 6:00am to 10:00am each day between Monday 9th November 2026 and Friday 13th November 2026.
The presenter will announce the exact entry periods live on-air when to enter each day during the Hits Radio Breakfast Show.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN
There will be 1 (one) winner (in total) of the Competition, winning the Prize as described in section 5.
The Competition will run from Monday 9th November 2026 – Friday 13th November 2026.
Entrants must be available and willing to take part live on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show between 6am and 10.00am every day from Monday 9th November 2026 – Friday 13th November 2026 if selected.
Any entrant who cannot be contacted, or who is unavailable or unwilling to participate, will forfeit their place and an alternative entrant may be selected. Shortlisting will occur as follows:
PHASE 1
Each day from Monday 9th November 2026 - Thursday 12th November 2026, two entrants will be brought to air at random and will work together as a team. They will work together to answer two questions (1 each) and have five (5) seconds to confer with one another before answering. Entrant 1 must say the first answer and entrant 2 must say the second answer.
If the team answers both questions correctly, they will continue in the Competition and come to air the following day. If the team answers 1 question incorrectly, the team will lose their place in the Competition and two new players (‘a new team’) will be brought to air the following day of the Competition. If a team continues to answer all questions correctly, they will take the role of ‘winners stay on’ and be brought to air each subsequent day following their first appearance throughout the Competition.
The Competition will continue in this way until the final team is brought to air on the final day of the Competition on Friday 13th November 2026.
PHASE 2
On Friday 13th November 2026, the last standing team will be brought to air, but in a twist, the two entrants will compete against one another and will no longer be working together. If two new entrants are brought to air on Friday 13th November 2026 for the first time, they will automatically split and play the head-to-head round.
The two final entrants will compete head-to-head in a 60-second on-air speed round. Off-air, they will be asked a ‘nearest to’ question and whoever answers the question as close to the answer, or answers correctly, will go first in the head-to-head on-air speed round.
The two final entrants will be asked pop culture questions in the head-to-head on-air speed round. Regardless of whether the entrant answers correctly or incorrectly, play will automatically move between the two entrants after each question. Questions must be answered within three seconds of being read out in full, otherwise it will be counted as an incorrect answer.
At the end of the head-to-head on-air speed round, the entrant who most recently answered a question correctly will be deemed the winner of the Competition and will win the Prize.
The entrant will be deemed the winner when the Hits Radio Presenter announces that they have won.
If the 60-second time limit expires while an entrant is answering a question, the question will be deemed incomplete and will not count. The winner will be the entrant who most recently answered a question correctly before the 60-second time limit expired.
If neither of the 2 players answer a question correctly, they will be asked a ‘nearest to’ tie-breaker question off-air, the player who either answers the question correctly, or nearest to will be announced as the winner on-air.
The Hits Radio Production Team will attempt to contact entrants to arrange their participation in the Competition and reserves the right to select an alternative entrant if contact cannot be made.
