TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Hits Radio x Subway – On-Air Competition (November 2026)” (the “Competition”).
These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.
1.Entry ROUTES and Costs
ON-AIR COMPETITION(S):
Entries are restricted to one (1) entry per person (an “Entrant”).
Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:
Phone by calling The Hits Radio (“Studio Phone Number”) on 0333 20 20 800 - calls from landlines will be charged at national rate. Calls from mobiles may cost considerably more.

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN
ON-AIR COMPETITION:
There will be one (1) (“Winner”) each day from Monday 9th November 2026 to Friday 13th November 2026 between 10:00 AM through to 1:00 PM ( See 3. Entry Period. A total of five (5) Winners will have the opportunity to win across the duration of this Competition.
To be eligible to win, Entrants must call the Studio Phone Number when prompted by presenter(s) to be in with the chance of being selected to be brought to air to play to win. An Entrant will be selected at random (making them a “Contestant”) from all calls and will be asked to play the Competition.
Mechanic:
Each day the randomly selected Contestant(s) will join the presenter(s) on Hits Radio on the Mid- Morning Show (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM) and will take part in the game.
Once the Contestant is brought to air with the presenter(s) each day during the Entry Period, they will be asked to pick an music artist from two options, the presenter(s) will play a song from the artist selected and a lyric from the song will be missing and replaced with a festive sound, the caller must then tell the presenter(s) what the correct missing song lyric is.
The Contestant will have five (5) seconds to say the missing word.
If the Contestant answers correctly they will be given the option to pick between two prizes (see 5. The Prize). They will only be able to win one prize.
If the caller does not get the lyric right, they will not win a prize and the Competition Round will end with the Prize for this day being forfeited.
The Winner(s) will be confirmed by the on-air presenter(s). There will be 1 opportunity to win every weekday during the Entry Period.
3. ENTRY PERIOD
ON-AIR COMPETITION:
Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:
From Monday 9th to Friday 13th November 2026 (the “Start Time”) *between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM (“End Time”).
*The specific opening and closing times of the on-air competition will be announced by the presenter during the show (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM).
Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.
If an Entrant is successfully deemed a Winner, the team will be in touch with them within 28 working days to arrange delivery of the prize. However, if the Winner cannot be contacted within 28 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them/the on-air draw, then they will forfeit their prize.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS
ON-AIR COMPETITION:
Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.
We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

The prize package is for two (2) people, all of whom must travel at the same time with the same itinerary; At least 1 person travelling must be over the age of 18; where any travellers are aged under 18, they must have prior parental or guardian permission; Economy flights from major mainland UK airports; Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available; Flight itinerary will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion; includes cabin luggage only; Additional luggage or prebooked seats may be added but will be payable by the winner and guests; Travel arrangements, including costs relating to public transport, fuel or parking, to and from the winner or companion/s’ home and UK departure airport do not form part of the prize and are the responsibility of the winner and their travelling companion/s; Accommodation is based on two (2) adults sharing one (1) double occupancy room in Prague; Accommodation will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion; A valid credit or debit card for incidentals may be required to guarantee your room on check in and therefore at least one of the travellers must possess and travel with a valid credit or debit card; Winner and guest must be aged 18 or over for the unlimited Prosecco on the river cruise, soft drinks may also be provided depending on availability; photographic proof of age may be required; The prize excludes travel insurance, domestic ground transfers, meals and drinks, hotel incidentals, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package; All elements of the prize are subject to availability; if unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and equal monetary value may be offered at the prize provider’s discretion; Winners are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance policy, and for ensuring that this includes insurance cover for the correct destination and for any applicable activities which they will be undertaking while away. · Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no alternative will be offered.
· The prize excludes anything not expressly listed above.
· Once confirmed, any changes including but not limited to name changes, date changes and route changes will be at the prize winner’s expense. Bauer Media will aim to send the prizes to winners within 28 working days from the date suitable ID and proof of address is provided to Bauer Media. However, there may be a delay due to potential unforeseen circumstances and therefore deliveries may take longer.

OTHER CONDITIONS
DATA PROTECTION.
Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. For SMS entries you automatically consent to receive marketing. You may opt out at any time by texting the word STOP to the relevant text shortcode number. If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, then your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS.
By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.
MISCELLANEOUS.
Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.
We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
