A man who went on a stealing spree across Cambridgeshire, taking thousands of pounds' worth of items, has been jailed for more than a year.

Giorgi Letodiani (28) of Kensington Drive in Woodford Green, Essex, started back in October 2025 when he took £400's worth of health and beauty items from Tesco in Milton.

He repeated the crime at another Tesco store four days later, then went on to Huntingdon, Wisbech and Peterborough.

He was arrested after being stopped by a security guard at a store in Peterborough.

Letodiani admitted five counts of theft on 12 May at Cambridge Crown Court, and has now been sentenced to 17 months in prison.

PC Eric Nimakoh of Cambridgeshire Police, investigating, said: “Letodiani was clearly travelling around the county targeting high value items to steal in a bid to sell them on.

“I’m pleased he was apprehended by the security guard, arrested and has now answered for his crimes.

“We will continue to work with retailers as we aim to combat theft and other offences they are subjected to, such as threatening behaviour and even violence.”
