Renewed appeal to trace wanted man from Poole

Officers believe Philip Martin Bright might be staying in Turlin Moor

There's a renewed appeal for information to help police locate a wanted man from Poole.

49 year old Philip Martin Bright is being sought in connection with an alleged assault in the Hamworthy area last month.

Following a number enquiries, officers now believe he might have been staying in the Turlin Moor area and are asking for any sightings to be reported.

Bright is described as:

  • White
  • Five feet eight inches tall
  • Medium build
  • Brown hair

Detective Sergeant Rich Barnett, of Dorset Police, said:

“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries to locate Philip Bright and we now have information that he may have been staying in the Turlin Moor area of Poole.

“We would like to remind the public that anyone knowingly assisting a wanted person in evading police is likely to be committing the criminal offence of assisting an offender and face police action as a result.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding Bright’s whereabouts to please contact us.

“While there is no information to suggest he presents a risk to the general public, we would urge anyone who sees him not to approach him, but to instead dial 999 immediately.”
