Family of man killed in fatal Dorchester crash pay moving tribute

The family of a man killed in a fatal collision in Dorchester have paid tribute to him.

Officers from Dorset Police were alerted to an incident taking place on Bridport Road involving a Fiat Panda and a bicycle at around 7:35am on May 16th.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the cyclist - 50-year-old Justin Loveland - requiring immediate medical attention.

Emergency services attended the scene and took Loveland to hospital in Southampton for treatment for his injuries, but despite their best efforts, Loveland was sadly pronounced dead the following day.

Following his death, the family of Justin have issued a tribute, describing him as a "much-loved son, brother, uncle and teacher".

They added: "The expressions of sadness and love for Justin from the school, cycling community and many friends from Dorchester and all across the country have been over-whelming. We will miss him hugely."

An appeal for information regarding the collision remains open and anyone with any information is being asked to get in touch as soon as possible.
