A motorbike rider, in his 20s and from Bournemouth, has suffered minor injuries after a crash in Bridport.

Police have now launched a witness and dashcam appeal following the incident earlier this month.

It happened at around 1.30pm on Friday 11 April when, a crash happened, involving a red Nissan Juke and a motorbike on the A35 between Walditch Road and Firch Lane.

It is reported that the driver of the Nissan, described as an elderly man, stopped and asked for details from the motorcycle rider, but did not give any of his own details and left the scene.

Police Constable Paul Miners, of Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to any witnesses who were in the area and saw the collision to please come forward.

“Also, if you have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, please get in touch.

“I am really keen to hear from the driver of the Nissan so we can take your account of what happened.”
