Three men arrested after gun and machete found at a house party in Birmingham
Police were called to Whittington Oval on Saturday night
Three men have been arrested following reports of anti-social behaviour at a house party in Yardley.
The police were called to Whittington Oval on Saturday night to address the situation.
Upon arrival, officers saw a BMW fleeing the scene, later dropping off two men on Kelynmead Road.
The two men, aged 20 and 21, were discovered hiding behind a car and were detained.
Nearby, police found a belt bag with a handgun inside and a machete hidden under a vehicle.
They were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and an offensive weapon.
In addition, another man, also 20, was arrested when the BMW was stopped; officers found cannabis inside the vehicle and seized it.
All three individuals are currently in police custody.
This incident is part of the ongoing Operation Target, where officers use local intelligence, seize goods, execute warrants, and aim to thwart serious and organised crime.
