Wolverhampton-born England superfan keeps daughter's legacy alive through defibrillator campaign
Paul Gregory, better known as "Tango", is raising awareness of the need for more defibrillators in UK football stadiums
A famous football fan from the West Midlands says he "won't give up the fight" to get more defibrillators installed at football stadiums across the country.
Paul Gregory, better known to England supporters as "Tango", is originally from Wolverhampton and is currently in the United States ahead of England's World Cup match in Dallas.
The Sheffield Wednesday and England superfan has been campaigning for more life-saving defibrillators to be placed in football grounds in memory of his daughter, Lauren, who died two-and-a-half years ago aged 29 from multiple organ failure.
Tango says he'll be flying a "Lauren's Legacy" flag at the England game as he continues raising awareness and funds for the cause.
He said: "I've decided that I don't want Lauren's name to disappear and be forgotten about.
"The Americans have actually offered to buy the Lauren's Legacy flag off me, but because of sentimental reasons I won't be selling it. Instead, they've donated to Lauren's charity.
"It's such a difficult message to get out there because people are under the misconception that defibrillators are already in every ground, which isn't the case.
"So, we're trying to put this right, as right now, the defibs just aren't there.
"We want to get four defibrillators in every one of the 92 EFL clubs, and position one in every corner of the stadium.
"It's funded by football fans, for football fans.
"We're going to continue and it's going to be a hard slog getting the money we need, but we're determined to get it done, keep Lauren's name out there and save lives."
