Two men have been charged after a shooting in Walsall which left a man with life-threatening injuries.

A man in his 20s was reportedly shot on Wordsworth Road in Willenhall on the 23rd December.

He is still in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

50-year-old Lee Hayes has been accused of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and wounding with intent.

28-year-old Shane Allsop has been accused of perjury by making a false statement.

A 61-year-old woman has also been bailed after being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.
