Police investigating the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old in Smethwick have charged two teenage boys with murder.

Zeshan Afzal was found seriously injured in Oldbury Road just before 9pm on Friday 20 February after a disturbance, but couldn't be saved.

A 16- and 17-year-old, who can't be named for legal reasons, are due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Monday 2 March.

Another 17-year-old boy has also been charged with murder, and is remanded in custody after appearing in court this week.

West Midlands Police say their enquires are continuing, and they urge anyone with relevant information about Zeshan Afzal's death to speak to them.
