Two men arrested after suspicious activity near vehicles in Sandwell
Officers were called to Hagley Road in Bearwood this morning (15th Aug)
Police have made arrests and recovered a bag of tools after responding to a report of men acting suspiciously near vehicles in Sandwell this morning (15th August).
Officers were alerted to activity in Hagley Road in Bearwood at around 3am.
They were quickly on the scene and two men tried to make off but were detained following a foot chase.
Following a search of the area we also recovered a bag containing screwdrivers, gloves, mole grips and hydraulic jack.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft and is currently in custody for questioning.
A 40-year-old man was also detained but was taken to hospital for assessment. He will be questioned in due course.
