Three people charged after suspected carjacking in Birmingham

Police have charged three people after a man was carjacked at knifepoint in Birmingham.
The man was driving on Short Heath Road at around 2.20pm on Saturday (18 January) when he was threatened with a knife and told to get out of the vehicle.
Police have tracked the stolen car, and it was later picked up by our traffic and firearms teams.
After ramming two police vehicles, it was brought safely to a stop following a short pursuit.
Three people were arrested, and police also recovered a knife from inside the car.
Steven Hurlstone, aged 39 and from Birmingham has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
Daniel Bree, aged 36 and from Birmingham has been charged with robbery, possession of a knife in a public place, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without insurance.
Jodie Sivviter, aged 35 and from Birmingham has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.
