Teenagers charged over weapons in Sandwell

Police have charged two teenagers, after recovering weapons in Oldbury.

Officers responded to a social media video of a machete and gun, being brandished in the street.

After inquiries, they recovered a BB gun, suspected of being in the clip on TikTok, a zombie knife and a number of swords.

Joshua Owen, 19, from Sandwell, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. He is due to appear before Dudley Magistrates Court on 28 July.

A 15 year-old boy has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm in a public place and having an offensive weapon. He is due to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on 8 July.
