Teenager in court after weapons and drugs seized from car in Stourbridge

A teenager's due in court today (7th April) after police recovered drugs and knives from a car in Stourbridge.

A car which failed to stop for officers in Brierley Hill on Sunday evening (5th April) led police on a high-speed chase.

It later crashed into another vehicle near the junction of Hungary Hill and Birmingham Street in Stourbridge.

The driver, 19-year-old Ibrahim Khan, who's from Birmingham, tried to run away but was arrested a short time later.

Officers seized two knives and a large amount of suspected Class A drugs from the vehicle.

He's now been charged with two counts of possession of a blade in a public place, two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, dangerous driving, and driving without insurance.

Khan is due at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court today.
