A teenager has been arrested after we received reports of a weapon being brandished in Netherton.

Just after 4.35pm yesterday afternoon we received a call from a member of the public after they had seen a weapon on Wrens Nest Road, Dudley.

We quickly responded and a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a sharp pointed article in a public place. He remains in custody for questioning.

A samurai sword was also recovered.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact officers on 101.
