Suspected chop shop searched in Birmingham

It's after reports that a car was stolen from Solihull at the weekend

Four people have been arrested after police found a suspected chop shop in Birmingham.

Officers received reports of a car being stolen from Solihull on Sunday (16 Aug). Following information it was found inside a premises on Cato Street, Birmingham, where Traffic officers attended and arrested four people on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

While carrying out searches officers found several vehicles stripped of parts along with further stolen vehicle parts.

Further searches were carried out at home addresses where over a dozen car keys for suspected stolen cars were found.

Two men aged 32, a 27-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy were all arrested.

Two men and the boy have been bailed pending further enquiries into the investigation.

The 27-year-old man was passed onto immigration officers.
