Police appeal following rape in Sandwell park
Police are investigating after a woman was raped in Sandwell.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was raped in a park in Sandwell.
She was found injured in the Priory Woods area of Sandwell Valley Country Park on 29 June.
She was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.
Detectives want to speak to anyone who was in the area on that date between 8am and 11am.
Detective Inspector Phil Griffiths said: "In the last three weeks, officers have been reviewing CCTV footage from around Sandwell Valley Country Park, examining forensic evidence, and speaking to anyone who may have vital information about what happened.
"Neighbourhood officers have been patrolling the area since the incident and specialist officers will be revisiting the park today to speak to anyone who may have information.
"We know the park would have been busy on a Monday morning with people enjoying the sunshine. We need to hear from you if you saw anything that was suspicious."
