Man arrested after officer racially abused in Birmingham
He has since been released on bail
A man has been arrested after a police officer was racially abused at a demonstration in Birmingham.
The incident happened in the city on March 10th 2026.
A 38-year-old was arrested yesterday (19th March) on Hospital Street in Birmingham.
He was held on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and has since been bailed as police continue to investigate.
Officers have confirmed that the arrest was not connected to the burning of an Israeli flag on March 5th at another demonstration on Hospital Street.
Police said their inquiries into that incident are ongoing.
