Police investigation launched following man's death in Sparkbrook

Police have launched an investigation after a man was found dead at a property in Sparkbrook.

At around 11am on Friday, officers were called to Long Street to reports of a man being found with serious injuries.

The 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances around the man's death. They've also confirmed that a post-mortem will be carried out.

Detectives are treating the death as suspicious, but no arrests have been made so far.
