Peppa Pig's space mission kicks off solar eclipse celebrations at NEC

As the UK prepares for a solar eclipse, Peppa Pig embarked on an extraordinary journey into space, captivating young audiences at the NEC Birmingham’s Lakeside Cinema.

During the eclipse, more than 90% of the Sun will be obscured between 6.17pm and 8.06pm, commemorated by Peppa Pig’s ascent to over 100,000 feet, reaching the outer edges of the planet's atmosphere.

Captured in full 4k resolution, the event coincides with NEC’s hands-on experience, Peppa Pig Space Adventure, showcasing Peppa’s cosmic journey and offering children interactive activities.

As Peppa soared above, she spotted landmarks across Birmingham and the NEC, her unique mission bringing joy to families witnessing the event from below.

Sarah Harvey, NEC’s deputy CEO, expressed excitement over Peppa Pig’s world-first adventure, emphasizing the importance of inspiring imagination and curiosity in children.
