Man injured after being attacked for valuable possessions in Birmingham

A man's been left needing treatment for facial injuries after being attacked for his watch and phone in Birmingham city centre.

It's believed he was targeted by two men at around 5am on Friday 23 January in Broad Street.

The victim was taken to hospital.

West Midlands Police arrested two men, aged 19 and 20, shortly after being called to Broad Street.

Items including a watch and a phone were recovered.

The two men remain in custody as officers continue their enquiries.

They're asking any witnesses to get in touch via the non-emergency 101 number, or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
