Detectives investigating death in Smethwick charge man with murder
The body of a man in his 40s was found two days ago
A 60-year-old man has been charged with murder after the body of a man was found in Smethwick.
Cecil Dillon is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court today (Saturday 8th August 2026), following his overnight charge.
The body was discovered at a property in South Road on Thursday 6th August shortly before 3:15pm after a public tip-off.
The family of a man in his 40s who was found dead are being supported by specialist officers.
West Midlands Police say their thoughts are with the victim's loved ones.
