Police have charged a man with murder following the death of another man in Solihull.

Kevin Johnson, aged 38, of Birmingham, has been charged with the murder of Stuart Nash, who died following an incident in Shustoke Road on Saturday evening.

Johnson appeared before magistrates in Coventry this morning and was remanded to appear again on 24 September at Birmingham Crown Court.

Mr Nash's family have paid tribute to him, saying: "Stuart was a devoted dad to his six children, including his step daughter, and being a dad was one of the most important things in his life.

"He was also a grandad and a fiancé who was loved by his family. Stuart was our rock , and his loss has left a huge hole in our lives.

"He was loving and kind and would do anything for the people he loved.

"We will miss his smile, his laughter and simply having him around. There are no words that can describe the pain of losing Stuart, and our lives will never be the same.

"He will always be loved and never forgotten.

“We ask for privacy at the terrible time in order to come to terms with this loss."

A woman aged 35 who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail while our investigation continues.
