Man charged with terrorism offences after planning operation in Lye

A man has been charged with terrorism offences following a 'pre-planned operation' in the West Midlands, officers say.

20-year-old Sardar Shahid was arrested at an address in Lye by counter terrorism police officers.

He's been charged with four counts of disseminating terrorism materials and one count of possession of an article for terrorist purposes.

He's due before Westminster Magistrates' Court today (5th February).
