Leicester man charged over county lines drugs gang into the West Midlands
West Midlands Police have been investigating an operation between Leicester, Birmingham and Worcester.
A man from Leicester has been charged various offences as part of an investigation into the supply of drugs across the East and West Midlands.
Lewis Read, 23, is charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine in February this year, as well as with arranging or facilitating the travel of another person with a view to them being exploited.
Read, from Leicester, appeared before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Saturday 6 June.
The charges relate to an ongoing investigation by West Midlands Police's County Lines Taskforce into a drugs operation in Birmingham, Worcester, and Leicester, with assistance from colleagues at both Leicestershire and West Mercia Police.
