Tributes to "gentle soul" who died in single-vehicle collision

Tributes have been paid to a "bubbly, friendly and gentle soul" from West Bromwich who died in a single-vehicle collision.

41-year-old Lakhbir Bangha, known as Lakhy, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on Doveridge Road in Stapenhill, Burton-on-Trent.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said "We were called at around 1pm on Friday (17 April) to Doveridge Road in Stapenhill, Burton-on-Trent, following reports of a collision.

"A van was involved in the collision with the driver, who was a pedestrian and out of the vehicle, at the time."

An investigation is ongoing.

His family said: “Lakhy will be remembered by so many as such a bubbly, friendly and gentle soul who went out his way to always make everyone laugh, whether it was with his silly jokes or dances, he would have you laughing again in no time.

“His presence will be deeply missed by his sisters, brothers, mom, dad, uncle, aunties and his wider family.

“Our lives will never be the same without you.

“We love you, Lakhy.”
