Birmingham man convicted after raping and abducting teenage girls
A man from Birmingham has been found guilty of raping a teenage girl and abducting two others.
A Birmingham man has been convicted of raping a teenage girl and abducting two others.
Kassam Hussain raped his first victim in September 2024. In the same month, he sexually assaulted another teenage girl, before abducting her in May 2025.
He also abducted a third girl in May 2025.
DC Sarah Toye, from our Central Complex Child Public Protection Unit, said: "This has been a complex investigation into the abuse of young girls who were groomed by Hussain.
"He preyed upon them when they were at their most vulnerable, and took advantage of their own personal circumstances.
"I commend their bravery in being able to speak out and share their stories and I would ask anyone who has encountered similar experiences, or any kind of abuse, historically or recently, to speak to the police.
"We are here to create a safe space for you and we will listen.”
Hussain, of Antrobus Road in Handsworth Wood, was convicted of nine offences by unanimous verdict at Birmingham Crown Court and will be sentenced in February.
