Investigation after teenager racially assault in Walsall

Police think up to six people were involved in the suspected attack on Friday

West Midlands Police are investigating a racially and religiously aggravated assault of a 14-year-old boy in Walsall.

Detectives say they were called about a teenager being assaulted by up to six people in Pleck Park at around 5pm on Friday 6 March.

Those involved are described as wearing all black clothing.

The force says it is taking this very seriously, and our investigators are carrying out fast-track enquiries including reviewing CCTV footage to identify those involved. They say they understand concern, and our officers are linked in with key members of the community.
