Man dies in hit-and-run in Birmingham
A 68-year-old has died following a hit-and-run collision in Birmingham.
A 68-year-old man has died following a hit-and-run in Hall Green, Birmingham.
He was struck by a dark-coloured car on Stratford Road, near the Aldi store on the Wycome Road junction, at around 8:45pm yesterday (3 Sept).
He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Det Sgt Julie Lyman, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at West Midlands Police, said: "Our thoughts today are with the family of the man who died, and we're supporting his family.
"It's vital that we identify the car and driver involved as soon as possible. If you are that driver, I'd urge you to do the right thing and come and call us straight away.
"If anyone who was in the area has mobile phone, dash cam or other footage from the time, we'd also like to speak to them as soon as possible."
