Man arrested over fatal hit-and-run in Birmingham
A man has been arrested after another man was killed in a hit-and-run in Birmingham.
A man has died following a hit-and-run in Birmingham, in which a 68-year-old was killed.
Ismail Mohammed, 68, died after being hit on Stratford Road in Hall Green near the Aldi store at around 8:45pm last Thursday (3 Sep).
In tribute, Isamil’s family said: “Ismail was the type of person that gave so much love to his family, friends, his community and anyone that ever met him.
“He was always the first person to celebrate your good news and made so many contributions to his community.
“He made friends and community wherever he went, and we are all at a loss without him.”
A 45-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed pending further inquiries.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to get in touch.
