A woman has been charged after reports a sword had been seen and children threatened on a bus near Dudley

Officers were called out to Nottingham Way, Quarry Bank just before 9.15pm last night (4 August) to reports of people with a large sword.

Police responded and made two arrests.

43-year-old Lisa North, from Dudley, has been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place.

She's been bailed ahead of an appearance at

While a 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article, assault of an emergency worker, criminal damage and possession of Class B drugs.

He's in custody for questioning.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information on the incident to call 101 quoting crime number 20/351377/26.
