Man jailed for 18 years after Birmingham shooting

A gunman has been jailed after firing shots at a vehicle in Birmingham last year.

A man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after firing shots at a vehicle in Edgbaston, Birmingham, last year.

Around 6pm on City Road on 30 May 2024, two cars collided leading to disorder where shots were fired. The gunman then shot at another vehicle before more disorder broke out.

One man was injured in the disorder.

Ismaeel Mohammed, 20, of Junction Road, Birmingham, was identified as the shooter.

He changed his plea from 'not guilty' to 'guilty' at Birmingham Crown Court and was subsequently sentenced to 18 years in prison.
