A fire has broken out at a scrapyard in Kings Norton

Crews from 14 fire engines are dealing with a major fire in Kings Norton.

It broke out at a scrapyard on Lifford Lane this morning.

Fourteen fire engines, a 4×4 brigade response vehicle and a hydraulic aerial platform are now in attendance at this fire, that is affecting a scrapyard and a nearby timber yard.

Firefighters have brought the fire under control.

A nearby railway line has not been affected by this incident, and trains are running as normal.
