A man from Reading has been jailed after being caught with crack cocaine following a police investigation in the Bracknell area.

Aleksei Mutovkin, 22, of Staverton Road, Reading, was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday.

He had pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug, namely crack cocaine, on 17th August 2026.

Thames Valley Police said officers proactively stopped a vehicle suspected of being involved in the supply of drugs on Foresters Way in Crowthorne at around 4.25pm on 15th August this year.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found drug paraphernalia and a wrap of white powder near where Mutovkin was seated.

He was then searched, and officers found additional drugs concealed on him.

Further testing confirmed the substance to be crack cocaine.

Mutovkin was arrested the same day and charged the following day.

Investigating officer PC Ryan Murphy, of the Bracknell Neighbourhood Team, said: "Those who choose to deal drugs in Bracknell, should be in no doubt that we will continue to come after them.

"Our neighbourhood teams work tirelessly alongside other colleagues, to identify, disrupt and prosecute those involved in the supply of drugs.

"This sentence demonstrated there are consequences for those who bring drugs into our communities.

"We will continue to make Bracknell a difficult place to deal drugs and will not stop pursuing those who cause harm in our neighbourhoods."
