Two men have been charged with motor vehicle theft and possession of a knife in a public area.

Mohammed Haji, 23, of Quilter Road, Birmingham, and Abu-Backar Hajiawes, 26, of Anthony Road, Birmingham, were formally charged on 14th May.

The charges encompass three counts of theft of motor vehicles, as well as one count each of going equipped to steal motor vehicles and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

The charges relate to the theft of three Land Rover Defenders; two were stolen on 11th May in Crowthorne and Wokingham, with the third stolen on 13th May in Ascot.

Both individuals have been remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear at Reading Crown Court on 15th June.
